Funding your MBA

tsucobmba

Are you eager to advance your studies, but concerned about securing funding? Many collegiate students are overwhelmed with the tremendous financial burden of student loans. The idea of taking out loans for graduate school on top of existing loans from undergraduate is a pill too large for many to swallow. This is where Tennessee State University steps in to help!

With extremely affordable tuition, TSU begins leaps and bounds ahead (or should I say below) of the competition in terms of price. It is only logical that it is easier to receive funding for a program that is not outrageously expensive. TSU recognizes this and maintains focus on the assistance of students. Being that the University is a state school, there are a vast amount of scholarship opportunities floating around out there, just waiting for you to apply! Within the University itself, there are numerous University-wide scholarships to be obtained. On the more individualistic side, there are also scholarship opportunities to be obtained through your concentration or area of study. Current professionals have the potential to be sponsored by their employer, who will pay for their MBA program. The affordability aspect of TSU’s MBA program makes for a very convincing argument when discussing sponsorship with managers. Obtaining your MBA at one of the lowest rates in Nashville will be extremely attractive for many managers.  There are endless ways to fund your studies: apply for state scholarships, university scholarships, and department/program scholarships!

Another funding source the University offers is not exactly a scholarship, but more similar to work study. TSU offers Graduate Research Assistant positions to eligible applicants. This scenario involves the student working 20 hours per week in their department (10 hours if part time), and in exchange all of their tuition and fees will be paid- in addition to a monthly stipend. For students transitioning from undergraduate to graduate, this is an incredible opportunity to not only get your MBA paid for, but also immerse yourself around outstanding business professionals and professors who you will teach you and expand your knowledge. The experience Graduate Assistants receive is truly invaluable.

Don’t waste time worrying about how you are going to pay for your MBA because TSU has your back! The University does, and will continue to do, everything they can to provide funding opportunities for all students. TSU is here to take the financial burden off the backs of our nation’s future, and support them and their success in any way possible! Worry no more about funding, look to TSU!
